English History

What does the group do?  This is a wide-ranging survey of all and any periods of English history, even making any necessary detours to Roman Britain.  According to the interests and tastes of the members, we swoop on particular periods or topics at various times.  Participation has been whole-hearted, in discussion and some preparation.  It has included a visit to a medieval Sussex house and a class-lunch at a pub named after an important local 17th century lawyer.

Meetings  1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month, 2.15 - 4.00pm.     

Venue  The group meets at a private home in Littlehampton. 

Costs  Nominal amount for refreshments
