Mah Jongg,
Groups 1 & 2
What does the group
do? The name of the Chinese game Mah Jongg means
'Sparrow', a bird of mythical great intelligence which appears on
one of the tiles. It is usually played by 4 people using 144 small
tiles divided into 3 suites, Circles, Bamboos and Characters, and 4
sets of honour tiles, Winds, Seasons, Dragons and Flowers. The
aim is to collect sequences of tiles, in the manner of Rummy card
games.

Prior knowledge of the game is not required.
Meetings
There are 2 Groups:-
Mah
Jongg 1: meets 3rd Tuesday of each month, 2.00 -
4.00pm.
Mah
Jongg 2: meets 1st Thursday of the month, 2.00 - 4.00pm.
Venue
Lovegrove Room, St Andrew's United Reform Church Hall, Holmes Lane,
Rustington, as from February 2012
Equipment needed
The group has Mah Jongg sets, so no equipment needed.
