Madrigals
What does the group
do? The group meets to sing
madrigals.
The
word madrigal really means unaccompanied secular songs, the parts
are interwoven and independent of each other. Therefore a singer
must be able to read and hold an independent line of music whilst
others are weaving their own parts around it. Some madrigals are
very difficult, needless to say we will not be attempting these in
the near future.
Level of expertise the group is aimed at
Members must be able to sing and it is imperative that they can read
music.
Meetings
The group meets on the 2nd and 4th
Tuesdays, 3-5pm.
Venue
The group meets at Angmering Community Centre.
