Honorary Secretary, Kara Turner

Kara was born in Sunderland, Tyne & Wear, but  spent all her childhood years in Essex.

 She started work in Barclays Bank, Manchester, then moved on to a Chartered Accountants.   After a career break to bring up two children she, together with her husband John, formed their own  Advertising Agency in Cheshire which ran for 22 years until retirement, when they sold out to a large Group.

Following retirement, in 2004 they moved to West Sussex and looked to Arun U3A for new interests and friendships. With U3A Kara continues to learn French and improve her Bridge, but also enjoys her involvement as Secretary and helps with production of the Beacon.
