Changes afoot!
Arun U3A continues to expand. To help with developing in the area
west of the River Arun we are inviting everyone who attends groups in
that area to fill in a questionnaire giving their views about Arun U3A's
activities. The questionnaires are being distributed at group
meetings (in the area west of the Arun only) during May, June and July.
We look forward to receiving your input.
If you attend meetings in or around Middleton and have missed out on the
questionnaires please email
webmaster for a copy.
Initial results from the questionnaires will appear in the August
Beacon.
In the pipeline there is also a change of name for 2 of the 3 areas in
Arun U3A. Middleton will soon become Arun West (as it's west of
the river) and the former Arun West, which is based in Littlehampton,
will be renamed Arun Central. This does not affect your membership - you
can still attend meetings and groups in ANY area of Arun U3A.
Arun University of
the Third Age
is part of the great network of self-help groups
which form the U3A and promote life-long learning and leisure activities
for older people no longer in full-time employment. Not a university
in the conventional sense .... here everyone's skills and experience are
valuable and we all learn from each other. No qualifications
needed. And a great way to keep active mentally,
socially and physically.
"Anyone who stops learning is old, whether
at twenty or eighty.
Anyone who keeps learning stays young. The
greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young" A quote
from Henry Ford
Where Are We?
Most of us live in the coastal area of West Sussex on
